California’s Newest Coastal Luxury Hotel, Paséa Hotel & Spa Celebrates Grand Opening
Southern California’s hottest leisure destination and event venue now open in Huntington Beach
Pacific Hospitality Group (PHG) and R.D. Olson Development are pleased to announce the official opening of Paséa Hotel & Spa, the newest addition to the Meritage Collection’s portfolio of lifestyle and luxury hotels and resorts throughout California and Hawaii. Mere steps from the iconic Huntington Beach Pier overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the hotel, which celebrates its grand opening today, takes inspiration from the vibrant artistic culture and communal spirit of the area. Paséa introduces a new standard of luxury hospitality to Huntington Beach with its guest rooms, spa, signature restaurant, and expansive meeting and event spaces.
“We are excited to add another locally-inspired property to our growing Meritage Collection,” said Kory Kramer, chief investment officer at PHG. “Paséa Hotel & Spa’s opening marks a great milestone for our company as we continue to expand in destinations appealing to both business and leisure travelers.”
Reflective of the destination, Paséa Hotel & Spa is a modern, elevated form of the classic coastal vibe with a unique design and casual style of service. Guests enjoy spectacular views of the coastline from any of the 250 beautifully-appointed guestrooms, which include eight luxury one-bedroom suites and a 1,900 square-foot penthouse suite. Paséa infuses natural elements into all aspects of the guest experience with decor that centers around open spaces, natural, distressed wood finishes and teak accents. Contemporary organic furnishings and striking artwork from local California artists also define and enhance the hotel’s interior. Guestroom amenities include FRESH bath products, custom Frette linens and comfy hooded sweatshirt robes. Guests will enjoy Paséa’s commitment to connectivity as they enjoy the latest in modern hotel technologies.
“We are excited to bring a world class ocean front resort to Southern California,” said Bob Olson, founder and CEO of R.D. Olson Development. “Paséa Hotel & Spa is a special development for us. We hope the community of Huntington Beach and our future guests enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
Tanner’s, Paséa Hotel & Spa’s signature restaurant, features the best in fresh Southern California cuisine, blending locally grown ingredients with innovative techniques. With stunning floor-to-ceiling views of the Pacific Ocean and outdoor seating on two levels, hotel guests and locals can enjoy an unforgettable Huntington Beach dining experience with a 72” wood-fired inferno grill as a key focal point. Tanner’s also features two bars - one on the main floor and the other, known as the Treehouse, located on the second level. For more casual fare, Blend Café serves fresh coffee, healthy snacks and early-evening wine by the glass and bottle, which can also be enjoyed in the adjacent Study.
True to the Southern California lifestyle, Paséa Hotel & Spa encourages relaxation, promotes wellness and offers various opportunities for an immersive Huntington Beach experience. Guests have access to a state-of-the-art fitness center, complimentary bicycle rentals, yoga classes, and a pool area featuring two infinity edge outdoor pools, a Jacuzzi and VIP cabanas with table service. Balinese-inspired Aarna Spa spans more than 5,800 square feet of tranquil space featuring eight treatment rooms, ESPA products, a boutique salon, relaxation room and outdoor garden. During their stay, both novice and skilled surfers can consult with the hotel’s dedicated Beach Butlers who will share the latest weather and tidal reports, arrange lessons with local instructors, provide supplies like sunscreen, surfboard wax, beach chairs and even offer a lift to the sand in the Paséa-branded pedicab.
Serving as one of the newest venues for memorable special events and business meetings in Southern California, Paséa offers 11 meeting rooms and more than 34,000 square feet of oceanfront event space. From the exceptionally-designed Blue Room with a fire pit adorned terrace overlooking the ocean to the expansive, 8,400-square-foot ballroom with adjoining 14,000-square-foot Ocean Lawn, all of the hotel’s meeting venues allow attendees to be fully immersed in the beauty of the outdoors and the Pacific. Meeting spaces also come with customizable menus to fit varying dietary needs and state-of-the-art audiovisual amenities.
“It is always fulfilling to construct a property that substantially changes the surrounding area and creates a sense of place for the community,” said Bill Wilhelm, president of R.D. Olson Construction. “Paséa Hotel & Spa’s full-service amenities speak directly to the types of offerings that consumers are seeking. R.D. Olson Construction is proud to have been a part of this flagship project for the region.”
