Luxury Resorts Join with International Firm to Market Top Properties Globally.
The Meritage Collection, with luxurious AAA Four-Diamond properties in California’s most sought after destinations including Napa, Santa Barbara, Newport Beach and La Jolla has just teamed with Unique Hotel Solutions, based in Florida, to help market its properties to international markets. Meritage Collection properties include The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara, Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, and Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa in La Jolla.
Partnering with Unique Hotel Solutions will allow the four properties within the Meritage Collection to have a broader international appeal. This partnership will benefit Meritage Collection properties by using Unique Hotel Solutions’ solid relationships with major international and domestic tour operators, virtuoso agents worldwide, and receptive tour operators. This allows the properties to go beyond their internal sales and marketing teams as both internal and external teams utilize their experience and expertise to reach the leisure market, including group meetings and incentive travel.
“We are excited to partner with Unique Hotel Solutions,” said Dave Gerdes, vice president of sales and marketing for Meritage Collection. “Meritage Collection properties showcase the best California has to offer from wine country to the best of coastal living and Unique Hotel Solutions will use their knowledge, experience and relationships to help us spread the word about these amazing properties around the globe.”

The top overseas markets were the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, China, France, Germany, South Korea, India, and Italy. The same report found that most overseas visitors spent an average of 22 nights in the United States, 11 of which were spent in California.
Meritage Collection properties aim to help visitors experience all that California has to offer during their visit by delivering an upscale, one-of-a-kind, elevated experience in outstanding California settings, ensuring ease of access and cultural integration at each of its coveted California locations. From yachting off the coast of Newport Beach to hiking a seaside bluff in La Jolla and basking in the sun on the Santa Barbara coast, the properties offer the lifestyle experiences domestic and international visitors expect when they visit California. A visit to the Napa Valley and The Meritage Resort and Spa, provides yet another essential California experience, wine tasting.
The Meritage Collection incorporates wine into its complete California experience, with special experiences at each of its properties, including its spas, and through a strong winery alliance network, focusing on California and international wineries. Trinitas Cellars, Foley Food and Wine Society, Fumanelli Winery, and numerious wineries and vineyards throughout the Napa Valley, all complete the inspiring life and style experience provided by the Meritage Collection.
